White Hot Chocolate

The slow cooker is wonderful for doling out steamy, wintry drinks—including salted caramel cider, pumpkin lattes, and this white hot chocolate. For parties, I love to make hot drinks, and if you do one in the slow cooker, you can forget about it. You just put the Crock-Pot out, and people can spike their drinks or not.

8 servings

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, add the hot chocolate ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 1 1/2 hours or until hot, occasionally stirring.
  2. With a handheld electric mixer or stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, whip together the heavy whipping cream, vanilla, sugar, and salt until stiff peaks form. Serve the hot chocolate topped with the whipped cream and nutmeg and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
