Doritos Nachos

In Arizona, “walking tacos” are the big thing. Based on a popular Mexican street snack, they’re also known as TostiTacos, TostiLocos, TostiNachos, or DoriNachos, depending on what’s in the bag and the type of chip you use (Tostitos or Doritos). No matter what you decide to call them, they’re perfect for game-day buffet tables. Simply lay out the ingredients and let everyone build their own creations. While they typically don’t include meat—without it, these tacos stay crispy longer—feel free to add shredded chicken, carnitas ,or crumbled ground beef if you like.

4 servings

  1. Heat the beans, taco seasoning and water over low heat, stirring occasionally until warmed, about 5 minutes.
  2. Cut a small corner out of the bags of flavored tortilla chips, then cut the bag lengthwise. Spoon the desired toppings over the chips and enjoy.
