Sangria: Not Just Summer Sipping
Don’t be fooled into thinking sangria is just for summertime sipping. The cinnamon and clove simple syrup, along with the pomegranate seeds, make this sanguine punch a fall favorite.
1 bowl
- In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil; add cinnamon and clove, and simmer until the sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.
- Combine everything but sparkling water in a punch bowl or large glass pitcher. Cover and chill completely, 2-4 hours.
- Add sparkling water when ready to serve.
